Ray Brastow

Professor of Economics

Dr. Brastow is a highly respected economist with a vast amount of experience both in the private and public sectors and as an educator and researcher.

Published widely in academic journals, Brastow has worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond and continues to work as a financial economist for the policy-making branch. He is an expert in econometrics—application of mathematical and statistical principles to economic data—and microeconomics. His recent work has focused on residential real estate markets with fellow Longwood University economists.

Brastow holds a Ph.D. from the University of Washington.
